About Grayscale PDF

Grayscale conversion runs your PDF through Ghostscript with its color conversion strategy set to Gray and the process color model forced to DeviceGray — every color space in the file, whether RGB, CMYK, or a spot color, gets mapped down to shades of black, white, and gray in one pass.
